PAC, Inc. Founder and President, Lynda C. LaPlante, holds a degree in Public Relations/Marketing from the University of Wisconsin as well as insurance licenses for Life, Health/Disability, and Property/Casualty.

In addition to running her company on a daily basis, she has a long time history of taking an active role in promoting all types of profit center sales, solving related governmental regulations and presenting innovative training in the car rental industry on a national and local scale.

On a national level, Lynda worked with various convention committees. Researching requested issues from present car rental clients, her quest was to turn this information into an interesting interactive format designed for the upcoming convention workshops. PAC, Inc. is a charter member of ACTIF.

On the state front, she developed the master listing that brought all the New York car rental locations together to form New York Vehicle Rental Association (NYVRA), running the association out of PAC, Inc.'s offices the first year. After the elimination of CDW in the state of New York, which inspired the new association, Lynda took a proactive stand when there was an attempt to take away the over-the-counter products in the state of New York and was instrumental in tailoring the limited licensing law requiring counter training designed to politically 'operate in good faith to the New York consumers'. She also developed the approved state association limited licensing training for the states of Texas and California.

Lynda has published writings in many trade publications including the American Society of Training and Development newsletter, the Auto Rental News magazine which for two years featured her column Counter Encounter and the former Car Rental Insider newsletter. Lynda LaPlante is involved in various areas of training and development, and speaks at industry events.

Prior to the formation of PAC, Inc., Ms. LaPlante gained much insight into the car rental industry by being one of the six people who closely worked with Philip Jacobs. He was the person who created the worldwide development of the PAC & CDW programs.

Ms. LaPlante's diverse background has also included the entertainment industry. She developed Radio and Television commercials, specializing in the creative marketing aspects of each media. Her knowledge and experiences include the publishing industry where she worked as an advertising manager for a newspaper.
